{"id":3407,"date":"2014-11-13T10:17:11","date_gmt":"2014-11-13T10:17:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/secl-news-events\/?p=3407"},"modified":"2014-11-13T10:17:11","modified_gmt":"2014-11-13T10:17:11","slug":"rosie-wyles-to-present-workshop-on-antigone","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/secl-news-events\/2014\/11\/13\/rosie-wyles-to-present-workshop-on-antigone\/","title":{"rendered":"Rosie Wyles to present workshop on Antigone"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/secl\/classics\/staff\/wyles.html\">Dr Rosie Wyles<\/a>, from the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/secl\/classics\/index.html\">Department of Classical &amp; Archaeological Studies<\/a> will be running a public workshop on Sophocles\u2019 <em>Antigone<\/em> this Sunday, 16 November 2014.<\/p>\n<p>Rosie is running the workshop with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/arts\/staff-profiles\/profiles\/main\/varakis-martin.html\">Dr Angeliki Varakis-Martin<\/a> from the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/arts\/index.html\">School of Arts<\/a>. Both Rosie and Angeliki are experts on ancient Greek theatre, and they look forward to sharing their expertise by offering an understanding of the background on <em>Antigone,<\/em> as well as the chance to act selected scenes from it.<\/p>\n<p>The event is to be held at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thegulbenkian.co.uk\">Gulbenkian<\/a> cinema and theatre on campus, 2-5pm.
