The underlying research was conducted by Kristoffer as part of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thecharacterproject.com\/\">the Character Project<\/a> from 2012-13.<\/p>\n<p>The Character Project is a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.templeton.org\/\">John Templeton Foundation<\/a> funded project at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wfu.edu\">Wake Forest University<\/a> in North Carolina, US. It aims to explore our understanding of character from a variety of perspectives, including psychology, philosophy and theology. As a way of showcasing its research to a wider audience, the project has produced a series of YouTube videos that showcase funding winners discussing their research in an accessible manner.<\/p>\n<p>In Kristoffer\u2019s video, he has teamed with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.whitworth.edu\/academic\/faculty\/index.aspx?username=nking\">Dr Nathan King<\/a> from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.whitworth.edu\">Whitworth University<\/a> in Washington to discuss intellectual character, and the virtues of intellectual perseverance and deference, in particular.
