{"id":3226,"date":"2014-10-16T09:23:54","date_gmt":"2014-10-16T09:23:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/secl-news-events\/?p=3226"},"modified":"2017-08-29T16:18:12","modified_gmt":"2017-08-29T15:18:12","slug":"german-translation-assistance-in-commemorating-wwi","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/secl-news-events\/2014\/10\/16\/german-translation-assistance-in-commemorating-wwi\/","title":{"rendered":"German translation assistance in commemorating WWI"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/secl\/german\/index.html\">Department of German<\/a> is now providing assistance to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/ww1\/index.html\">Gateways to the First World War<\/a> project at Kent, to provide support in translation of documents from and relating to World War I.<\/p>\n<p>Gateways to the First World War is one of five <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ahrc.ac.uk\/Funded-Research\/WW1-and-its-legacy\/Pages\/World-War-One-Engagement-Centres.aspx\">AHRC-funded public engagement centres<\/a> established with the aim of bringing together academics and members of the public in commemorating the centenary of the First World War.
