{"id":3079,"date":"2014-09-01T11:53:09","date_gmt":"2014-09-01T11:53:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/secl-news-events\/?p=3079"},"modified":"2014-11-06T13:10:48","modified_gmt":"2014-11-06T13:10:48","slug":"shane-weller-publishes-on-becketts-the-unnamable","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/secl-news-events\/2014\/09\/01\/shane-weller-publishes-on-becketts-the-unnamable\/","title":{"rendered":"Shane Weller publishes on Beckett&#8217;s The Unnamable"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/secl\/complit\/staff\/weller.html\">Shane Weller<\/a>, Head of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/secl\/index.html\">School of European Culture and Languages<\/a> (SECL) and Professor of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/secl\/complit\/index.html\">Comparative Literature<\/a>, has just co-authored a book with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uantwerpen.be\/en\/staff\/dirk-vanhulle\/\">Dirk Van Hulle<\/a> from the University of Antwerp in Belgium, entitled <em>The Making of Samuel Beckett\u2019s \u2018L\u2019Innommable\u2019\/\u2019The Unnamable\u2019<\/em>\u00a0(University Press Antwerp \/ Bloomsbury, 2014).<\/p>\n<p>Originally published in French as <em>L\u2019Innommable<\/em> in 1953 and translated into English by the author, <em>The Unnamable<\/em> is the third and final novel in Samuel Beckett\u2019s major post-war trilogy, which began with <em>Molloy<\/em> and <em>Malone meurt<\/em> [<em>Malone Dies<\/em>] (1951).<\/p>\n<p><em>The Making of Samuel Beckett\u2019s \u2018L\u2019Innommable\u2019\/\u2018The Unnamable\u2019<\/em>\u00a0offers a critical analysis of the history of one of the most important novels of the post-war era.
