{"id":3035,"date":"2014-08-13T11:06:48","date_gmt":"2014-08-13T11:06:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/secl-news-events\/?p=3035"},"modified":"2014-08-13T15:15:15","modified_gmt":"2014-08-13T15:15:15","slug":"secl-success-in-the-2014-national-student-survey","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/secl-news-events\/2014\/08\/13\/secl-success-in-the-2014-national-student-survey\/","title":{"rendered":"SECL success in the National Student Survey 2014"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The results of the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.thestudentsurvey.com\/\">National Student Survey 2014<\/a>\u00a0(NSS) have now been released, revealing good news for Kent and the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/secl\/index.html\">School of European Culture and Languages<\/a>\u00a0(SECL) in particular.<\/p>\n<p>The NSS is an independent UK-wide survey of all 158 higher education institutions, providing an opportunity for final-year students to independently rate their experience at university.<\/p>\n<p>Kent has been confirmed as being among the top 10 multi-faculty universities for overall satisfaction, positioning it within a select band of institutions that have achieved an overall satisfaction rate of 91%, above the national average (and equal with, for example, the universities of Oxford and Cambridge).<\/p>\n<p>Seven\u00a0subjects from SECL\u00a0scored within the UK&#8217;s top 10 for overall student satisfaction.
