{"id":2374,"date":"2014-03-24T09:31:59","date_gmt":"2014-03-24T09:31:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/secl-news-events\/?p=2374"},"modified":"2014-11-06T13:16:40","modified_gmt":"2014-11-06T13:16:40","slug":"centre-for-modern-european-literature-welcomes-lucie-campos","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/secl-news-events\/2014\/03\/24\/centre-for-modern-european-literature-welcomes-lucie-campos\/","title":{"rendered":"Centre for Modern European Literature welcomes Lucie Campos"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Last term, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/secl\/researchcentres\/eurolit\/index.html\">Centre for Modern European Literature<\/a> launched\u00a0a programme of Visiting Research Fellowships.\u00a0Following the inaugural fellowship of\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.dla-marbach.de\/metanavigation\/kontakt\/mitarbeiter\/mitarbeiterliste_alphabetisch\/?no_cache=1&amp;tx_mfcworkerlist_pi1%5Bdetail%5D=379\">Dr Marcel Lepper<\/a>, the Centre will be welcoming\u00a0\u00a0Dr Lucie Campos to Canterbury from today, 24 March, to 5 April 2014.<\/p>\n<p>Lucie Campos Mitchell has been teaching comparative literature since 2004 in a number of French universities (Versailles, Poitiers, Caen, Reims, Toulouse). She is currently ma\u00eetre de conf\u00e9rences at the Coll\u00e8ge de France in Paris where she works for the Institut du Monde Contemporain as a co-editor of the online journal\u00a0<em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.laviedesidees.fr\/\" target=\"_blank\">La vie des id\u00e9es<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>[<em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.booksandideas.net\/\" target=\"_blank\">Books &amp; Ideas<\/a><\/em>]. She has worked on intersections between literature, history and politics in 19th and 20th century literature, namely in the works of J.M. Coetzee, W.G. Sebald and Imre Kert\u00e9sz, and is\u00a0the author of\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.classiques-garnier.com\/editions\/index.php?page=shop.product_details&amp;flypage=flypage_garnier.tpl&amp;product_id=650&amp;category_id=64&amp;option=com_virtuemart&amp;Itemid=1&amp;vmcchk=1&amp;Itemid=1\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Fictions de l\u2019apr\u00e8s: Coetzee, Kert\u00e9sz, Sebald<\/em><\/a>\u00a0(Classiques Garnier, 2012). Co-edited volumes include\u00a0(with Georges Chapouthier, Catherine Coquio and Jean-Paul Eng\u00e9libert)\u00a0<em>La question animale<\/em>\u00a0(Presses Universitaires de Rennes, 2011) and (with Rapha\u00eblle Guid\u00e9e)\u00a0&#8216;W.G. Sebald&#8217;, a special issue of <em>Europe<\/em>\u00a0(March 2013). She is currently preparing another volume on Imre Kert\u00e9sz (Autumn 2014).
