This scholarship is worth \u00a32,000 a year, renewable on an annual basis (subject to good academic progress). It may be held in conjunction with a University bursary. For more details, please see the Kent Scholarship page here:\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/scholarships\/undergraduate\/academic\/academicexcellence.html\">www.kent.ac.uk\/scholarships\/undergraduate\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p>For postgraduate taught, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/secl\/postgraduate\/funding.html\">Graduate School Scholarships<\/a> are available to current final-year undergraduates at Kent to continue to postgraduate study at the University, which offer a \u00a31,000 reduction on tuition fees.<\/p>\n<p>There are number of postgraduate research scholarships available for PhD studentships, including the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ahrc.ac.uk\/Pages\/Home.aspx\">Arts and Humanities Research Council<\/a> (AHRC) <a href=\"http:\/\/www.chase.ac.uk\">Consortium for the Humanities and the Arts South-East England<\/a> (CHASE), offering full <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/secl\/postgraduate\/funding.html?tab=phd-scholarships\">AHRC funding for Home\/EU doctoral students<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In preparation for the University\u2019s 50th anniversary in 2015, SECL is delighted to be able to offer five <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/secl\/postgraduate\/funding.html?tab=phd-scholarships&amp;tab2=secl-50th-anniversary-gta\">50th Anniversary Graduate Teaching Assistant Scholarships<\/a>. These scholarships cover full home\/EU fees plus a maintenance grant and a salary which will total an amount equivalent to that offered by the Research Councils for 2014. The scholarships will be offered for one year in the first instance, renewable for a maximum of three years, subject to satisfactory academic performance.<\/p>\n<p>The School also offers the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/secl\/postgraduate\/funding.html?tab=phd-scholarships&amp;tab2=susan-cohen-doctoral-scholarship\">Susan Cohen Doctoral Scholarship<\/a>, awarded in memory of Susan Cohen, who graduated from Kent in 1991 in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/secl\/italian\/index.html\">Italian<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/secl\/complit\/index.html\">Comparative Literature<\/a>.
