{"id":1739,"date":"2013-10-10T09:13:52","date_gmt":"2013-10-10T09:13:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/secl-news-events\/?p=1739"},"modified":"2013-10-10T09:24:08","modified_gmt":"2013-10-10T09:24:08","slug":"leading-italian-novelist-to-visit-kent","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/secl-news-events\/2013\/10\/10\/leading-italian-novelist-to-visit-kent\/","title":{"rendered":"Leading Italian novelist to visit Kent"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Italian novelist <a href=\"http:\/\/www.domusacademy.com\/site\/home\/about\/dean.html\">Gianluigi Ricuperati<\/a>\u00a0will be visiting the University next week to give a reading from\u00a0his forthcoming novel, and to discuss his work and how English literary scene is influencing Italian authors.<\/p>\n<p>Ricuperati is the author of five critically acclaimed books. His most recent novel,\u00a0<em>La produzione di meraviglia<\/em>\u00a0[<em>The Production of Wonder<\/em>] (2013) is currently being translated by the publishing house Gallimard. He is also a cultural columnist for\u00a0<em>La Repubblica, Il Sole 24 Ore<\/em>, and\u00a0<em>La Stampa<\/em>, and an art curator (&#8216;FestArch&#8217;, International Architecture Festival, with Stefano Boeri, &#8216;Artissima&#8217; Castello di Rivoli, Contemporary Art Museum, amongst others).<\/p>\n<p>All are welcome to attend this event.
