{"id":14944,"date":"2022-12-15T12:21:53","date_gmt":"2022-12-15T12:21:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/secl-news-events\/?p=14944"},"modified":"2022-12-15T12:21:53","modified_gmt":"2022-12-15T12:21:53","slug":"ukrainian-language-course-for-january-2023","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/secl-news-events\/2022\/12\/15\/ukrainian-language-course-for-january-2023\/","title":{"rendered":"Ukrainian language course for January 2023"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Do you want to learn a new language?<\/p>\n<p id=\"page-title\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/language-centre\/language-express\">Language Express<\/a> will be offering a 10-week Ukrainian course from 16 January 2023.<\/p>\n<p>As well as teaching communication through focussing on conversational skills, the <strong>online<\/strong> evening classes\u00a0will help\u00a0participants develop essential knowledge and understanding of the cultural contexts.<\/p>\n<p>This course will enable participants to better welcome and engage with Ukrainians \u2013 from those who have, or wish to, welcome families into their homes, to businesses who want to gain a better understanding and way to communicate with new customers and potential employees.<\/p>\n<p>The course is available to staff, students, and the general public at a special discounted price of \u00a3100.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/cultures-languages\/people\/1791\/fiorucci-wissia\">Dr Wissia Fiorucci<\/a>, Language Centre Director, said:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u00a0\u2018At Kent, we do not just teach languages, we pride ourselves in championing communication across cultures and borders.
