In a day of talks and posters, undergraduate students of English Language and Linguistics at the University of Kent present their dissertation research.<\/p>\n<p>The invited speaker is Dr Elisabeth Carter, University of Roehampton, with her talk titled, &#8216;Forensic linguistics in action: examining interaction at the intersection of language and the law&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>The schedule for the day includes poster sessions and presentations on topics including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The multilingual narrator of war and peace<\/li>\n<li>Women in Media<\/li>\n<li>Politicians in a pickle: how the public is deceived<\/li>\n<li>Going local?
