Núria Triana Toribio, Professor of Hispanic Studies in the Department of Modern Languages, has been interviewed alongside Professor Cristina Garrigós Gonzalez of the Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia [National University of Distance Education], for the latest issue of VEIN magazine.

VEIN is a quarterly Spanish-language magazine, produced in Barcelona, covering fashion, art, interviews, and beauty across Spain.

In the interview, published yesterday, 21 June 2018, they explain how their research on how Punk women’s contribution continues to be sidelined, led them to curate a series of films and documentaries exploring the women pioneers of the punk movement in the UK, US and Spain. The season was programmed in collaboration with Dr Jara Fernández Meneses, programmer at the Cineteca of Madrid, and who completed her PhD in Hispanic Studies in the Department of Modern Languages at Kent. The online version of the article contains embedded trailers of the curated films, and information about the season, which is due to start on Monday 25 June 2018.
