Erasmus alumnus Marcos Salazar Lobato, who completed the module Writing in the Media in the Department of English Language & Linguistics, has had his first article in English published on the website European Youth Portal.
While taking the Writing in the Media, Marcos had to produce a portfolio of original journalism and pitch a real article to a magazine or newspaper. He continued to write after leaving Kent and has now had his first article published.
The European Youth Portal site is available in 27 languages and showcases both national and European opportunities that are of interest to young people who are living, learning and working in Europe.
Marcos’ article, entitled ‘We the Young People‘, talks about his experiences at the ConversAcciones (ConversActions) project, supported by Erasmus+, which gives young people a say about politics and society and the opportunity to participate in structured dialogue.
