Congratulations to our scholarships winners

We are delighted to announce the winners of Summer School Scholarships in Brussels and Paris.

The scholarships were open to second- and final-year undergraduate students across all subject areas to to spend the first two weeks of June in Summer Schools at the University of Kent’s premises in either Brussels or Paris. They include tuition, excursions, accommodation and travel expenses from Canterbury, and run from the Monday 2 June to Friday 13 June 2014.

The successful students from within SECL to win scholarships for Paris were: Gillian Ruth Andrews (Comparative Literature), Elizabeth Ruth Hutchings (English & American Literature and French), Katharine Elizabeth Mawford (Classical & Archaeological Studies), and Jayna Bharat Rana (Comparative Literature and English Language & Linguistics).

The successful SECL student winning a scholarship for the Brussels Summer School was: Daniel Matthews-Ferrero (European Studies – Spanish).

Congratulations to all our students who are going out to either Belgium and France, and we hope you have an exciting and enlightening time.

The University is still taking applications for the main Summer School programme, with places available in Paris and Brussels in the weeks of Monday 23 June to Friday 4 July 2014. The deadline to apply for these Summer Schools is 18 April 2014. (Please note this deadline has been extended.) Fees start at 700 euros.
