Stuart Allen has won the Arts and Humanities student film competition with ‘COVID in Colour’, a film about how the Arts has changed in the past year.
Voting in the Arts and Humanities short-film competition has now closed and we are excited to announce the results.
With 41.9% of the votes, “COVID in Colour” by Stuart Allen was the winner of the public vote (across LinkedIn, Instagram, and email), while “No News From Home” by Liam Creighton was selected as the Judges’ Choice winner.
Stuart put together a well produced spoof documentary looking at how the Arts at the University of Kent changed over the past year. Set in 2031, the film contains interviews with students and academics, who give their take on how the Coronavirus pandemic has impacted studying, teaching and day-to-day life.
Thank you to all who participated in this competition – whether as a film-maker, actor, interviewee, audience member, or voter. We hope that it gave you all the chance to reflect on the events of the past year and how to articulate this experience through creative means.
