Arts and Humanities short film competition: One Year On

We are excited to launch a brand-new short film competition for Arts and Humanities students: One Year On.

We invite you to produce a short film, with a maximum duration of 10 minutes, that addresses the impact of lockdown measures and the pandemic on everyday life, and on the Arts sector in particular. As suggested by the title of the competition, we would like participants to reflect on the changes that have taken effect over the last year, as well as where you think the Arts might be a year from now.

The films can be produced individually or as a team effort (max. 4 participants per team). All participants need to read, sign, and return a ‘Participant Entry Agreement’, which can be downloaded here.

Finished entries should be uploaded to YouTube and the link emailed to the Arts and Humanities Employability team (artshumsemployability@kent.ac.uk) by 09:00am, Monday 19 April 2021.

Following the competition deadline, a panel of judges will review all entries and create a shortlist, which will be shared on our social media channels. From this shortlist, a ‘Judges’ Choice’ winner and a ‘People’s Choice’ winner will be selected, and each will be awarded a prize.

Prize: £100 in Amazon gift cards will be awarded for the winning film(s).
