Dr Patricia Novillo-Corvalán, Head of Department in Comparative Literature, has recently edited a publication on ‘Virginia Woolf, Europe and Peace’ (Liverpool University Press, 2020) along with Dr Ariane Mildenberg (School of English).
‘Virginia Woolf, Europe, and Peace’ sets out to enlarge our understanding of Virginia Woolf’s pacifist ideology and aesthetic response to the European wars by re-examining her writings and cultural contexts transnationally and comparatively through the complex interplay between modernism, politics, and aesthetics.
