The library believes in the importance of reading and spaces for self-development and enhancement that empower and reflect many voices/lived experiences. University life should provide students with opportunities for enrichment within their academic disciplines and beyond. We value the student voice in developing collections and learning environments that are well-resourced, supporting educational and extracurricular provision and enhancing student life.

We welcome your suggestions for book titles to grow our library collections. Last year we spent over £5000 on recommended titles from students, Kent Union and Student Support and Wellbeing.
