The University of Kent’s English Language and Linguistics Student Society (ELL SOC) has been awarded funding from the Linguistics Association of Great Britain for the Undergraduate Conference in English Language and Linguistics, an annual event that sees dissertation students and others present their research in a supportive environment. The funding will allow the students to invite an external speaker, Dr Elisabeth Carter, University of Roehapmton, to give a plenary session on the topic of forensic linguistics. The conference will take place on 24th March 2021.
