Dr Paul March-Russell, Lecturer in the Department of Comparative Literature, has recently been appointed to the editorial board of Gold SF, a new imprint by Goldsmiths Press dedicated to discovering and publishing new science fiction.
Gold SF is supported by an editorial board comprising established academics and science fiction experts, including Paul March-Russell, Joan Haran, Elizabeth English, and Maureen Kincaid Speller, and award-winning and best-selling science fiction authors, Anne Charnock and Una McCormack.
Paul says: “Gold SF is the first feminist SF imprint since the legendary Women’s Press list of the 1980s. Our mission, to discover new female authors (and reprint some neglected classics), comes at a time when traditional power structures are beginning to shift. This is an exciting moment, especially for me, as Gold SF complements my work on eco-criticism and contemporary women’s fiction.”
