The results of the National Student Survey 2017 (NSS) have now been released, revealing good news for the School of European Culture and Languages (SECL).
The NSS is an independent UK-wide survey of all higher education institutions, providing an opportunity for final-year students to independently rate their experience at university.
The survey ran from January until April this year, targeting students towards the end of their degree, and the results were published yesterday, on 9 August 2017.
SECL saw several successes in the survey, with many ranking in the top ten: Comparative Literature and Italian scored 1st in the UK, German 7th, Linguistics 9th, and Hispanic Studies (Iberian) 9th. In addition, Philosophy also ranked highly at 12th in the UK.
Overall, all SECL’s subject areas scored extremely high for its teaching. The figures for the our subjects for overall satisfaction were as follows:
- Classical & Archaeological Studies – Archaeology scored 78%
- Comparative Literature scored 96%
