Congratulations to Dr Jonathan Kasstan, an alumnus of the Department of English Language and Linguistics, who has been award a Leverhulme Early Career Research Fellowship at Queen Mary, University of London.
Jonathan completed his PhD in Linguistics in 2016 with a thesis entitled ‘Variation and Change in Francoprovençal: A Study of an Emerging Linguistic Norm’, under the supervision of Dr David Hornsby and Dr Damien Hall (Newcastle University).
Additionally Jonathan has just become the proud father of Emily Rose Kasstan, on 30 May. Our double congratulations to Jonathan (and his family)!
