Dr Wissia Fiorucci, Language Coordinator in the Department of Modern Languages has received a teaching award by Kent Union for ‘going above and beyond’ in her role.
Wissia was presented with a mug and certificate by Alice Cripps (Italian Stage 2 Student Rep) and Kealey Chapman (Stage 3 Student Rep) at the end of last term.
The students told Kent Union: ‘Wissia is both an incredible lecturer and language teacher. It is evident that she puts so much time and effort into making her modules the best they can possibly be. She is always doing everything she can to help students improve and develop their skills both in and out of the classroom. Not only this, but she is a really kind and thoughtful person. A lot of students have a huge amount of respect for Wissia. I know I can speak on behalf of other students in saying we are very lucky to have her teach us here at Kent.’
Our congratulations go to Wissia.
