The Centre for Reasoning, based in the Department of Philosophy, has set up a network of similar centres, the Reasoning Club, which is currently run by Jason Konek who will be joining the department next year. The Club is organising its next interdisciplinary conference, to be at the University of Turin on 18-19 May 2017.
Submissions for the Fifth Reasoning Club Conference are now open. All PhD candidates and early career researchers with interests in reasoning and inference, broadly construed, are encouraged to submit an abstract of up to 500 words (prepared for blind review) via Easy Chair: https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=rcc17
The organisers are especially welcome members of groups that are underrepresented in philosophy to submit, and they are committed to promoting diversity in the final conference programme.
The deadline for submissions is 1 February 2017. The final decision on submissions will be made by 15 March 2017. Grants will be available to help cover travel costs for contributed speakers. To apply for a travel grant, please send a CV and a short travel budget estimate in a single PDF file to: reasoningclubconference2017@gmail.com
For any queries please contact Vincenzo Crupi at the University of Turin (vcrupi@unito.it) or Jason Konek at Kansas State (jpkonek@gmail.com).
