Two students from the Department of Classical and Archaeological Studies have been successful at the Kent Student Awards.

Mario Elia, a stage 1 student on the BA (Hons) in Archaeology and Anthropology, won the award for Outstanding Contribution to Media and Communications, for setting up the UKC Blog Society that supports and educates others on how to be a successful blogger.

Stuart Lidbetter, a stage 2 student on the BA (Hons) in Ancient History, was runner-up in the Chancellor’s Employability Points Award category for his efforts and vision in transforming the Classics and Archaeology Society into a vibrant and popular society.

The Kent Student Awards recognise and celebrate the outstanding contribution students make to the Kent student experience. Winners and runners-up received their awards and cash prizes at a gala dinner on the Canterbury campus on Friday 6 May 2016.
