Kent Union has now opened nominations for Course Representatives (Reps). Course Reps act as a voice for their fellow students on the same course, giving feedback on key issues that affect the student experience to both the University and Kent Union. Course Reps take part on the staff-student liaison committees, and take part in education forums. Training is provided.
Being a Course Rep provides an opportunity for students to develop skills such as advocacy, representation and leadership, shape Kent Union policy. It also contributes to the Kent Student Certificate in Volunteering award, as well as offering a chance to meet new people, and make a difference in the lives of students.
The School of European Culture and Languages (SECL) is looking for 26 representatives across all subject areas and stages, including undergraduate and postgraduate courses. You can view the list of posts available at: www.kentunion.co.uk/elections/posts/1195/
To volunteer, students can put their own names forward via nomination. Nominations close on Friday 2 October at 12 midday, with voting running from Monday 5 October to Thursday 8 October.
