Conference to debate the digital age

This month, the Centre for Reasoning within the Department of Philosophy, in collaboration with the Knowledge in the Digital World group at Lund University, will bring together researchers working on the epistemology and political philosophy of knowledge acquisition and dissemination.

The conference will be held across two days, 16-17 October, in the Abode Hotel in the centre of Canterbury. It will feature talks from external speakers including Thomas W. Simpson (University of Oxford) on ‘Knowledge Transmission Online’, Erik J. Olsson (University of Lund) on ‘Google and the Wisdom of Crowds’, and Paul Matthews (University of Bristol) on ‘ Consequential Social Epistemology and the Design of Online Knowledge Exchange’.
