The results of the National Student Survey 2014 (NSS) have now been released, revealing good news for Kent and the Department of English Language & Linguistics in particular, as it was ranked 8th in the UK for student satisfaction.
The NSS is an independent UK-wide survey of all 158 higher education institutions, providing an opportunity for final-year students to independently rate their experience at university.
Kent has been confirmed as being amongst the top 10 multi-faculty universities for overall satisfaction, positioning it within a select band of institutions that have achieved an overall satisfaction rate of 91%, above the national average (equal with, for example, the universities of Oxford and Cambridge), with individual departments scoring higher.
The Department of English Language & Linguistics scored an overall 93% for student satisfaction, and was one of seven subjects from the School of European Culture and Language (SECL) to rank within the UK top ten.
Congratulations to our academic and support staff for providing excellent teaching and support to achieve this result, and we would like to thank all of our students who participated in the survey.
