Got a bright idea? Enter the Kent App Challenge!

The Kent App Challenge is a competition open to ALL students at the University of Kent.  No coding or technical knowledge is required to enter.

Students have 6 weeks to create an exciting and innovative app idea, which provides a solution to a global problem. At the end of the 6 weeks, students have the chance to pitch their idea to a panel of judges.

Each student in the winning team will receive a cash prize of £200 (up to a maximum £800 prize for the whole team) and all students who participate in the competition will be able to collect Employability Points.

Become a Stage 1 Student Rep

Nominations are now open for the Stage 1 Student Rep Elections!

Student Reps are a vital link between the student body, Kent Union and the University. They are volunteers which are elected by their peers to represent them and act as the first port of call for any suggestions, comments or queries about the course/s they represent.

  • Develop Leadership, Communication and Meetings Skills.
  • Network and meet new people.
  • Log your volunteering hours on Kent Student Certificate in Volunteering (KSCV) award.
  • Help to shape the development of HE at Kent and make a real difference to the student experience of yourself and your peers.

Wednesday 4th October at 4pm: nominations close

Wednesday 4th October at 5pm: voting opens
