{"id":3502,"date":"2019-02-13T17:13:07","date_gmt":"2019-02-13T17:13:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/sac-news-events\/?p=3502"},"modified":"2019-02-13T17:14:28","modified_gmt":"2019-02-13T17:14:28","slug":"dice-talk-showcasing-student-research-oceans-to-zoos","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/sac-news-events\/2019\/02\/13\/dice-talk-showcasing-student-research-oceans-to-zoos\/","title":{"rendered":"DICE Talk: &#8216;Showcasing student research &#8211; oceans to zoos&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The School of Anthropology and Conservation has created a new series named DICE Talks that will take place every month and will consist of a public lecture by DICE staff, students and alumni.<\/p>\n<p>This month\u2019s DICE Talk will occur on Thursday, February 14th, and be given by Hannah Pepe, Kieran Richardson and Jimmy Rutherford, who are all undergraduate students in Wildlife Conservation.<\/p>\n<p>They will discuss their research on ocean plastics, conserving an endangered Bermudan lizard species and measuring whether zoo conservation education campaigns work..<\/p>\n<p>The talk is co-hosted by the University of Kent&#8217;s Conservation Society and will take place in Grimond Lecture Theatre 2, starting at 18:00 and lasting for one hour.
