The School of Anthropology and Conservation is very proud to open its brand new \u00a3150,000 teaching laboratory, completed over the summer vacation in preparation for the incoming cohort of students in the academic year 2018-19.<\/p>\n
The lab is a fully-equipped scientific research space and showcases the School’s comprehensive cast collection of human and primate skeletal models, which includes fully-mounted skeletons of a chimpanzee and spider monkey and a reconstruction of a gigantopithecus, the largest ape known to man<\/p>\n
The space has been designed to emphasises the School’s enthusiasm for object-based teaching with students having the opportunity to learn surrounded by casts of our ancestors as well as studying medieval human remains from Canterbury and its surrounding areas.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
