{"id":3151,"date":"2018-09-21T12:08:33","date_gmt":"2018-09-21T12:08:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/sac-news-events\/?p=3151"},"modified":"2018-09-21T13:38:04","modified_gmt":"2018-09-21T13:38:04","slug":"conservation-themed-film-festival-comes-to-gulbenkian","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/sac-news-events\/2018\/09\/21\/conservation-themed-film-festival-comes-to-gulbenkian\/","title":{"rendered":"Conservation-themed film festival comes to Gulbenkian"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This Autumn, in collaboration with the School of Anthropology and Conservation, the Gulbenkian cinema is hosting a series of environmental documentary films to help raise awareness of some of the threats facing the world today.<\/p>\n<p>The series presents three thought-provoking, award-winning films that cover issues from plastic pollution to political corruption, from the glaciers of Greenland to a remote island in the Pacific Ocean.<\/p>\n<p>All films will be shown at the Gulbenkian Cinema, University of Kent, at 18:30, beginning with Albatross as a <strong>free screening<\/strong> (26th\u00a0September), Chasing Ice (October 1st) and An Inconvenient Sequel: Truth to Power (October 3rd).
