Her photograph was chosen by an independent\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.britishecologicalsociety.org\/membership-community\/annual-photographic-competition\/judges\/\">judging panel<\/a>\u00a0made up of five renowned ecologists and award-winning wildlife photographers.<\/p>\n<p>The winning images from across the competition will be exhibited at the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.britishecologicalsociety.org\/events\/annual-meeting-2017\/plenary-speakers\/\">\u2018Ecology across Borders\u2019<\/a>\u00a0conference that runs 11-14<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0December in Ghent, Belgium. The conference brings together 1,500 ecologists from around 60 countries to discuss the latest advances in ecological research across the whole discipline.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Professor Zoe Davies has won an award in the annual British Ecological Society photography competition.
