Jennie Martin, MSc Ethnobotany, would like to invite you to a presentation about environmental education and setting up a charity.
When: Wednesday 14th March; 17.15 – 18.15
Where: Swinglang Room in the Marlowe Building, University of Kent
Jennie says;
For those of you interested in environmental education or setting up a charity- I am giving a presentation next week on an environmental education charity that I set up in Scotland 9 years ago called Wild things! (www.wild-things.org.uk). They work with children, teenagers and adults on a variety of great programmes.
I will give a short overview of the work of the charity and then am happy to answer any questions people may have from working in environmental education, the value of bushcraft/wilderness living skills in environmental education, working with children, vulnerable adults, raising funds, setting up a charity – how to cope with people scared of spiders! – the floor will be yours!
I will also give a brief overview of a week- long woodland activity leader training that Wild things! is launching later this year.
