Kent and the International Encyclopaedia of Anthropology

Wiley Blackwell have just published their seven-volume International Encyclopedia of Anthropology, which will be an essential and definitive work of first reference, shaping the image of the subject over the coming decades. Kent, through its School of Anthropology and Conservation, has played a major contributing role, both generally, and especially to the Environment and Human Ecology theme.

This theme, under the assistant editorship of Professor Roy Ellen, has involved in particular members of the Centre for Biocultural Diversity. Among Kent contributors are current staff (Miguel Alexiades, Roy Ellen, Michael Fischer, David Garbin, João Pina-Cabral and Anna Waldstein), ex-staff (Oskar Burger, Jerry Eades, Chris Hann, Serena Heckler, Stephen Lycett, Laura Rival, and Andrew Sanchez) and ex-PhD students (Tom Henfrey, Piers Locke and Stephen Lyon).
