‘Curtains for Endangered Species?’ is the theme of the first DICE talk of 2020.
The talk will be given by Dr Susy Paisley, a conservation biologist, DICE alumna and member of the DICE Advisory Board. Susy will talk about her work as a designer and her focus on a range of endangered species.
Susy’s company, Newton Paisley, creates beautiful and unique fabrics and wallpapers, all designed and hand-drawn by her. Each design tells stories of neglected and endangered species and, even better, contributes towards the preservation of critical wild habitat. For every metre of fabric sold, 100m2 of wild habitat is preserved through their collaboration with World Land Trust.
The event will take place on Thursday 16th January 2020 from 18.00 to 19.00 in Grimond Lecture Theatre 2 and is open to all.
