The human story began over six million years ago in Africa. Come and learn about how humans have evolved from our earliest ancestors all the way through to ourselves, in a one-of-a-kind exhibition put on by the School of Anthropology and Conservation in conjunction with The Beaney House of Art and Knowledge.
Professor Tracy Kivell and Dr Matthew Skinner, along with students from their research groups, will present the major changes in how our early ancestors moved around, what we ate, and how we made and used tools.
Through interactive displays accessible to all ages, it will be possible to explore the human evolutionary story that began in Africa and spread across the globe. Over 100 replicas of fossil human bones and teeth will be on display, as well as a fun activity space for children. Do come and join us for this unique opportunity to learn about your distant past.
The event will take place in the Garden Room of The Beaney from Tuesday 28th May to Sunday 2nd June, 2019 throughout each day. Admission is free to all and suitable for all ages.
