Dr David Henig’s work published as part of The Global Encyclopaedia of Informality

Dr David Henig’s work on languages of informality and economies of favours has been published as part of The Global Encyclopaedia of Informality.

This ambitious and unique Open Access project explores society’s open secrets, unwritten rules and know-how practices, and ‘ways of getting things done’, ranging from emotion-driven exchanges of gifts or favours and tributes for services, to power-driven forms of co-option and control.

The Encyclopaedia is accompanied by the first Global Map of Informality and a database that is searchable by region, keyword or type of practice.
