DICE PhD student wins Most Popular Article Award

DICE PhD candidate Izabela Menezes-Barata has been awarded the 2016 Most Popular Article award from the Brazilian Society of Herpetology for her article Downscaling the Gap: Protected Areas, Scientific Knowledge and the Conservation of Amphibian Species in Minas Gerais, Southeastern Brazil.

The award was instituted in 2015, for the three most accessed articles on the BioOne website. Winners receive a certificate and cash prize of $700, $300 and $100 respectively. Although the award is annual, it is given out every two years in the opening ceremony of the Brazilian Society of Herpetology’s Congress to the corresponding author.
