The youngest of 3 children, father David Attree (Mariner) and mother Jane.<\/p>\n<p>1891 Census aged 11, now living at 13 Hoopers Road and gained another two siblings.<\/p>\n<p>1901 Census aged 21 living at the same address and employed as a Dairyman. Two of his younger siblings are no longer listed.<\/p>\n<p>1911 Census aged 31 still at the same address with his parents and one brother. Now listed as a Parcel Carman employed on the railway.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Military Career<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Private, 7<sup>th<\/sup> Battalion, Bedfordshire Regiment 21518<\/p>\n<p>Killed in action on 11<sup>th<\/sup> February 1918<\/p>\n<p>Buried in Noyon New British Cemetery, Picardy<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.everymanremembered.org\/profiles\/soldier\/580182\/\">http:\/\/www.everymanremembered.org\/profiles\/soldier\/580182\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p>He left effects of \u00a310 7s. 4d. to his brothers and sisters<\/p>\n<p><strong>Extract from the Regimental war diary (page 889)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1 \u2013 8\/2\/18 Training<\/p>\n<p>9-10\/2\/18 Move to GROVEN by route march, to NOYON by train and to VALENCY by route march.<\/p>\n<p>11\/2\/18 Arrival of draft of 7 Officers and 174 other ranks from 8<sup>th<\/sup> Bn Bedfordshire Regt, which had been disbanded.<\/p>\n<p>Hostile Bombing raid. One bomb demolished a billet occupied by \u201cC\u201d Company. Casualties:- Killed; 9 other ranks. Died of wounds 1 Officers &amp; 2 other ranks.
