Kent is delighted to be the only university awarded a place on a new framework designed to support the public sector to more efficiently source training, learning and development solutions.

As a trusted supplier on Procurement Services’ brand-new Training, Learning & Development Solutions Framework Y25003, we will be able to expand on existing partnerships with the NHS, Kent Police and local authorities throughout Kent and Medway to meet their learning and development needs.

The free-to-use framework makes these partnerships easier by providing publicly funded organisations with a means to access our services in a way which is both compliant with procurement regulations and doesn’t require a full tender process. It also assures of Kent’s stability, social impact and experience as a supplier.

Those using the framework can take advantage of our unique learning and training solutions which seamlessly integrate cutting-edge knowledge and strategic business insight to address the varied needs of students, employers, professionals, businesses, organisations, and the public and third sectors. These include bespoke professional development training, higher degree apprenticeships, professional degrees and Innovate UK-funded Knowledge Transfer Partnerships.

Dr Eve Kalyva, Professional Development Training Officer, said: ‘This is a great opportunity for the University of Kent. Our civic mission is to deliver social, educational, cultural, public and economic benefits across Kent and Medway, and actively contribute to the health, wellbeing and prosperity of our communities. Offering training to the public sector through this framework enables us to work with local organisations, building a sense of community and engagement by sharing our resources, facilities and expertise.’

Tarryn Kerr, Procurement Services Managing Director, said: ‘We are delighted to have launched our new Supply of Training, Learning & Development Solutions framework, which has been created to help support public sector organisations across the UK. Our framework experts have undertaken a stringent tender process to award to the successful suppliers and we are pleased that The University of Kent is one of our new partners. We look forward to creating a long-lasting relationship with The University of Kent and working collaboratively to support the needs of the UK public sector.’
