Dr Silvio Caputo, Kent School of Architecture and Planning, has recently received awards funding from Horizon Europe for GreenME – a project focusing on green prescribing.

The Horizon Europe funded project will start in September 2023. The 7-country international, inter-disciplinary research team of this project includes top European universities such as Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona and University of Bologna as well as many NGOs and local authorities. The UK team is led by Dr Caputo, and includes University of Salford, Edge Hill University, Social Farms & Gardens, and East Kent MIND.

The project was one of the three selected out of 32 applications in a very competitive call titled: Developing Nature-based therapy for health and wellbeing. The aim of the call is to develop models of non-medical treatment in natural settings that are scalable, and integrate optimal land management, prevention and therapy, and improved ecological conditions.

Congratulations to Silvio on this achievement.
