Welcome – and thank you for joining us at the start of a new year, and a new Quest. This blog represents the next stage in our mission to get Kent’s young people writing, reading and imagining new worlds. Keep a close eye on the page for updates about current Quests, and for some fantastic writing from students in our partner schools.
The School of English at the University of Kent has been running the QUEST project for two years – so far with over 160 young people and the numbers are rising. The QUEST project is an innovative approach to supporting literacy skills for KS3 students through games, imagination, reading, and writing. Structured around the classic quest narrative students learn how to interpret and create great stories, while building their confidence in reading, writing, and inference.
