We are the Outreach team at the School of English, University of Kent. We are undergraduate and postgraduate students, academics, university staff, writers and artists.
We love stories and poems, magic, mystery and adventure. We get excited about using language to surprise and enchant our readers. We can’t wait to try new things and play games, to explore with our students, but we never grow tired of the classic quest stories and all the magic they hold.
We have been running the QUEST project for more than two years, but many of us have been exploring quests for much longer and we can’t wait to share our passion with you.
The QUEST project is an innovative approach to supporting literacy skills for KS3 students through games, imagination, reading, and writing. Structured around the classic quest narrative students learn how to interpret and create great stories, while building their confidence in reading, writing, and inference.
