The Quality Assurance and Compliance Office (QACO) have made some exciting changes and improvements to the University of Kent’s CMA information and processes.
Updated Website
The CMA website has been updated to ensure that the most relevant and current information is available to our applicants, students and staff. This includes dedicated sections of the website for both applicants and current students.
Visit Kent’s CMA website.
CMA for Kent Staff on KentNet
We have developed a staff-only area on KentNet (SharePoint) that contains detailed guidance on CMA Risk Assessments and the communication required with applicants and students.
Please note that the CMA for Kent Staff on KentNet is still in development, and we plan to include sections of good practice and relevant templates for communications in the future.

Clarifications to CMA Material Information
We have provided clarifications to the material information available on the Kent CMA Website. An extended version of the material information table now details the individual parties whose approval is required before CMA material changes can be made. The extended version is available on the CMA for Staff KentNet.
See CMA Material Information on the website and KentNet.
Updated CMA Risk Assessment Request Form for Courses
We are grateful to the colleagues across the Divisions for using the previous CMA Risk Assessment template when submitting their requests. We have created a dedicated form to be completed by the Divisions when seeking the CMA Risk Assessment for Courses. We hope that the updated form will benefit both Divisions and QACO, in speeding up the process of assessing risks. Once completed, QACO will provide a copy of the CMA Risk Assessment to CASC.
See the updated CMA Risk Assessment Request Form for Courses.
Deadlines for Requesting the CMA Risk Assessments for Courses
Deadlines are now in place for Divisions to request CMA Risk Assessments for Courses. This is to ensure that we are able to review the request before CASC members receive their papers. The deadlines do not mean that any CMA Risk Assessment Requests submitted after those dates will not be processed. However, we cannot guarantee that late requests or those submitted with missing information will be reviewed in time. Consequently, any proposed material changes related to the request will have to be considered by CASC at a future meeting.

CMA Risk Assessment for Modules
Please note that the process for the CMA Risk Assessment for modules has not changed. The requests should be submitted to QACO by emailing kentcma@kent.ac.uk. Please see the step-by-step guidance on CMA for Staff on KentNet.
See CMA Risk Assessment for Modules information on KentNet.
