<\/p>\nThe Kent and Medway Business Summit has announced the hugely popular engagement event will now take place in April 2022 \u2013 exact date to be confirmed. In the meantime, a free virtual business briefing will take place on 14th January 2022.<\/p>\n

Hosted by Kent Business School and Summit partners (the Federation of Small Businesses, Institute of Directors and Locate in Kent), the\u00a0Summit\u00a0welcomes some 400 delegates each year to connect, collaborate and share best practice in developing a strong sustainable economic future for the region.<\/p>\n
Whilst announcing the date move, the Summit partners pledge their commitment to maintaining the quality of the event.<\/p>\n
Professor Marian Garcia, Dean of Kent Business School, said: \u2018It\u202fis with regret that we have decided to move the Summit to a later date for 2022, however with the current uncertainty over the risk that the Omicron variant poses and possible restrictions it is the best course of action.<\/i>\u2019<\/p>\n
\u2018<\/i>We recognise that the Summit is highly regarded as a place where businesses can network and meet with key policy makers to have their say in creating a shared vision for the region\u2019s sustainable economic future, and we believe that these interactions work best in person.<\/i>\u2019<\/p>\n
\u2018<\/i>Virtual platforms will always have a place in connecting us and as a space for sharing ideas, however,\u00a0we believe that to deliver a truly exceptional experience that it is worth delaying the Summit until the position regarding COVID-19 is clearer.<\/i>\u2019<\/p>\n

Further details about April\u2019s event will be shared in the New Year. All those who had previously registered for the January event will be offered the opportunity to rebook, or receive a refund.<\/b><\/p>\n
The Summit will return to its January date in 2023 in line with government guidance.<\/b><\/p>\n
