It is a week full of events and activities designed to help new students make friends, familiarise themselves with their new surroundings and have a lot of fun.

To kick off was the HSS division-wide scavenger hunt, where new students from all four schools were invited to get their creative juices flowing to win prizes. Entrants were given a list of various campus locations or items to grab arty photographs of, upload to social media with the hashtag #wwscavenge22, and then race back in time for the judging. Our Psychology teams included Boris the Spider, Unicorn, The Bears, and Spongecake, with the overall Winning Scavengers being ‘Banana Man’ from the School of Psychology (woop!).

On Tuesday afternoon, our academic staff gathered to welcome new students, introducing them to the school and the various aspects of their psychology degree course. Followed by a drinks reception, an opportunity for our new students and staff to get to know each other more informally.

‘The Bears’ giving us a thumbs up 👍

On Wednesday, our new UG and PG students all got the chance to unwind together at The Chill Zone.
