{"id":404,"date":"2015-03-17T15:06:57","date_gmt":"2015-03-17T15:06:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/psychology\/?p=404"},"modified":"2016-05-16T15:03:13","modified_gmt":"2016-05-16T14:03:13","slug":"university-research-prizes-for-theresa-gannon-and-giovanni-travaglino","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/psychology\/2015\/03\/17\/university-research-prizes-for-theresa-gannon-and-giovanni-travaglino\/","title":{"rendered":"University Research Prizes for Theresa Gannon and Giovanni Travaglino"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The results of the University Research Prizes competition have just been announced, with two prizes going to the School of Psychology.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/research\/prizes\/research-prizes\/gannon.html\">Professor Theresa Gannon<\/a> and her team consisting of\u00a0Dr Caoilte \u00d3 Ciardha (Lecturer in Forensic Psychology), Dr Emma Alleyne (Lecturer in Forensic Psychology), Dr Lona Lockerbie (Honorary Lecturer), Nichola Tyler (Research Associate), Helen Butler (PhD Candidate), Magali Barnoux (PhD Candidate), and Katarina Mozova (PhD Candidate) were awarded the <strong>Faculty of Social Sciences Prize for Research<\/strong> for their work in\u00a0producing a standardised treatment programme for firesetters.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>University Prize for Postgraduate Research<\/strong> was awarded to\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/research\/prizes\/postgraduate-research-prizes\/travaglino.html\">Dr Giovanni Travaglino<\/a>, whose PhD was concerned with\u00a0collective opposition to criminal organisations in Southern Italy and who\u00a0developed an international network on collective action and protest,\u00a0leading to\u00a0two conferences being held at Kent.<\/p>\n<p>The winners will receive their awards at a ceremony at the end of the month.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The results of the University Research Prizes competition have just been announced, with two prizes going to the School of Psychology.
