{"id":3729,"date":"2021-11-30T10:48:49","date_gmt":"2021-11-30T10:48:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/psychology\/?p=3729"},"modified":"2021-12-01T10:48:56","modified_gmt":"2021-12-01T10:48:56","slug":"jim-everett-wins-the-spsp-early-career-trajectory-award","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/psychology\/2021\/11\/30\/jim-everett-wins-the-spsp-early-career-trajectory-award\/","title":{"rendered":"Jim Everett wins the SPSP Early Career Trajectory Award"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"lead\">Dr Jim Everett has won the 2021 Society for Personality and Social Psychology&#8217;s Early Career Trajectory Award.<\/p>\n<p>The award Early Career Trajectory Award recognises outstanding achievements by early career scholars (between 4 and 6 years Post-PhD) in social and personality psychology, including contributions to teaching, research, or service to the field.<br aria-hidden=\"true\" \/><br aria-hidden=\"true\" \/>This becomes the fourth early career award <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/psychology\/people\/2039\/everett-jim-a-c\">Dr Jim Everett<\/a> has received this year alone. Other awards include<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Association for Psychological Science\u2019s \u201cRising Star\u201d Award (February)<\/li>\n<li>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/\">University of Kent<\/a>\u2019s \u201cStarting Researcher Prize\u201d (June)<\/li>\n<li>The Leverhulme Prize (October)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>&#8220;I am tremendously honoured and grateful to be recognised in this way. I remain indebted to everyone who has supported me in this journey, for nothing I have achieved is a product of mine alone. I am especially thankful for my mentors and colleagues for continuing to believe in me and my potential and support me in my academic journey.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p>In addition to the early career award received last year from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.easp.eu\/\">European Association of Social Psychology<\/a> (EASP), this means he has received the early career award from the three largest international associations in the field<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>EASP<\/li>\n<li>The<a href=\"https:\/\/www.psychologicalscience.org\/\"> Association for Psychological Science<\/a> (APS)<\/li>\n<li>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.spsp.org\/\">Society for Personality and Social Psychology<\/a> (SPSP).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Covid permitting, Dr Everett is set to be honoured at the upcoming annual conference in San Francisco in February 2022.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/psychology\/people\/2039\/everett-jim-a-c\"><strong>Congratulations Dr Jim Everett!<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dr Jim Everett has won the 2021 Society for Personality and Social Psychology&#8217;s Early Career Trajectory Award.
