Here is a summary of what has been happening in the School of Psychology&#8230;<\/p>\n<h2>What makes a Forensic Psychology student tick?!<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Through the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/courses\/postgraduate\/69\/forensic-psychology\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Forensic Psychology<\/a> Master\u2019s programme, Joanna Ratsma has been researching Minor Physical Anomalies, an area that she finds captivating. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/psychology\/news\/2815\/what-makes-a-forensic-psychology-student-tick\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Find out more<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Our academics are stars!<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li id=\"page-title\" class=\"article__title\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/psychology\/people\/2039\/everett-jim\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Dr Jim Everett<\/a> received the Rising Star Award from the Association for Psychological Science. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/psychology\/news\/2758\/dr-jim-everett-is-the-recipient-of-an-aps-rising-star-award\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Find out more<\/a><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Covid-19 led our research&#8230;<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Research led by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/psychology\/people\/212\/abrams-dominic\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Professor Dominic Abrams<\/a> highlighted how society will continue to feel the impacts of Covid-19 for a decade or more without an urgent public policy overhaul. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/psychology\/news\/2840\/social-costs-of-the-pandemic-will-be-felt-for-a-decade\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Read more<\/strong><\/a>.<\/li>\n<li class=\"article__title\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/psychology\/people\/3308\/travaglino-giovanni\">Dr Giovanni Travaglino<\/a> from Kent and Dr Chanki Moon from Leeds Beckett University find feelings of shame and stigmatisation around contracting Covid-19 can prevent individuals from declaring infection to authorities. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/psychology\/news\/2843\/shame-around-contracting-covid-19-can-prevent-individuals-declaring-infection-to-authorities\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Learn more<\/strong><\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Along with colleagues at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.belongnetwork.co.uk\/\">Belong<\/a>, research led by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/psychology\/people\/212\/abrams-dominic\">Professor Dominic Abrams<\/a> recommends that a long-term strategic programme for social cohesion is needed for communities to recover and rebuild from the Covid-19 pandemic. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/psychology\/news\/2836\/neighbourliness-compassion-and-unity-required-to-help-communities-recover-from-pandemic\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Find out more about the strategy<\/a><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Which charities are closest to our student&#8217;s hearts?
