{"id":1502,"date":"2018-06-26T12:02:54","date_gmt":"2018-06-26T11:02:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/psychology\/?p=1502"},"modified":"2018-11-22T10:30:39","modified_gmt":"2018-11-22T10:30:39","slug":"psychology-students-win-prizes-at-postgraduate-festival","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/psychology\/2018\/06\/26\/psychology-students-win-prizes-at-postgraduate-festival\/","title":{"rendered":"Psychology students win prizes at Postgraduate Festival"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><!--more-->Congratulations go to two of our amazing cohort of PhD students for their achievements at the University&#8217;s Postgraduate Festival this month.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/psychology\/people\/nicholsond\/\">Dawn Nicholson<\/a> (primary supervisor <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/psychology\/people\/hopthrowt\/\">Dr Tim Hopthrow<\/a>) won the Three Minute Thesis prize for her\u00a0oral\u00a0presentation &#8216;Transforming group decisions from grim to great: The power of the premortem&#8217;.\u00a0 She will now go on to represent the University at the national competition later this year.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/psychology\/people\/allenc\/\">Courtney Allen<\/a> (primary supervisor <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/psychology\/people\/uskula\/\">Professor Ayse Uskul<\/a>) took away two prizes for her poster entitled &#8216;Becoming bicultural through romantic relationships: Is it possible?&#8217;.
